Ideology
“Ideologies shape the relationship
between an individual and culture, influencing her ideas about family
structure, gender and sexuality, faith, the function of work, and the role of
government, among other things.” (c) Parmaggiore
As an example, I would like to draw your attention to the "Mona Lisa Smile" (2003) is directed by Mike Newell.
Perhaps, this is one of those movies that are so clearly demonstrates an example of how one person who thinks differently, progressively, can affect the minds of many. The entire plot of the film is built around the rights of women, the right to make that choice, that you wish you did, and does not impose your society.

Time events occur in
50s in America, when it was approved for the role of a girl or woman to get
married and be a housewife. But the main character is a liberal way of
thinking. And she wants to open these borders or limits in their wards. She
uses her art lessons to show girls that they should not obey the stereotypes
that women are born to be housewives and mothers.
The film's title is
also some sense there. "Mona Lisa Smile," Giaconda’s smile hides her
real I, therefore, her smile mysterious, and easier to say unnatural. The model
went to meet the painter and smiled, but in fact it was not fun... And our life
- if we follow the ideals that are expected of you, you cannot be yourself.
