My critical evaluation of our final short film

After watching our last film, I now have mixed feelings. It seems like I am very glad that we finally filmed this movie, and on the other hand I am slightly disappointed with how it turned out because of some disadvantages.

I would start with theme and idea of the film. If we imagine that I watch the movie like the first time and not knowing anything about it before. Then from the second scene I already know that this picture is about a homeless couple. I mean I caught a theme but I was confused a bit by their clean faces and clothes. What about the idea that it has opened for me in the last scene with a lottery card. But, in my opinion, there was not enough for a little emotional delivery. But the ending is quiet too, something draws. But quiet ending was attracted for me as well.

I'd like to speak about the actors. I really liked their play. A clear dialogue, natural emotions, they are self-confident before the camera. And about the characters, I think they are a chur happy for homeless people. However, it was felt in their laughter, sense of irony in their fate and the hope for a better future.

The story in the film was linear, but often I do not have enough some scenes for the transition from one location to another. And in some places I would like to see the continuation of scene very much, such as in the scene with a candle. I would also like to see some action on the part of a young couple in the scene, where they listen to the guitarist.

What about post-processing, the editor should work with the noise on the background and the colour correction, sometimes he should add some sound effects for a better perception of what is happening, and I would like to hear the sound of the guitar louder - it was very quiet for me.

As a result, I am pleased with the film for entry-level, I think it was not bad.

And also I am very thankful to my crew team for collaboration and assistance in this project and lecturers who helped us to create this film!
